Spreading Christmas Joy Across Coventry

For over 30 years, this amazing local charity has been helping families who struggle to afford Christmas gifts for their children. What started as a small project has now grown across Coventry, making sure every child has a present to open on Christmas Day.

As the number of children needing support grows each year, the charity faces a big challenge. They are a small team, but their impact is huge. Thanks to the Citizen Local Fund, they were able to buy £10 gift vouchers for 300 teenagers who might otherwise have gone without.

“We hoped to help every family who applied and showed they were in need – and we were able to do that.”

In 2025, the charity supported 2,201 children from 941 families – a big increase from the 1,589 children helped the year before. Families also enjoyed festive crafts and meeting Santa, making Christmas extra special.

Many parents have shared heartfelt thanks, saying they were worried about having to choose between presents and heating or presents and food. This support meant they didn’t have to make that choice.

The Citizen Local Fund helped make this possible, and together we’ve brought joy to thousands of children. The charity hopes to keep supporting families in need for many more Christmases to come.
