Overview of February Community Events: Connecting with Our Customers
Connecting with our Customers
At Citizen Housing, we are committed to staying connected with our customers in meaningful ways. Recently, we had the opportunity to engage with local communities through two exciting events: one at the Stoke Health Social Supermarket and another at the Headway office in Evesham.
Stoke Health Social Supermarket
We visited the Stoke Health Social Supermarket to meet our customers face-to-face. This supermarket plays a key role in the community, providing essential support to those who need it most. During our visit, we spoke with a customer who shared that she prefers not to engage online and feels more comfortable with phone calls. This conversation reminded us of the importance of offering different ways for customers to provide feedback, ensuring everyone can communicate in the way that works best for them.
Holbrooks Social Supermarket: Engaging with Customers
For the past three months, the Engagement team has been regularly visiting the Holbrooks Social Supermarket to connect with customers face-to-face. Our aim is to ensure inclusivity and give people the chance to share their concerns directly with us.
During one visit, we met Jan, a customer who was initially nervous about joining a focus group. After explaining the process and how her feedback would help improve services, Jan felt more confident and agreed to participate. She was excited to meet new people and contribute, highlighting how we can build customers' confidence and involve them in shaping services.
This experience shows the importance of creating a welcoming space where customers feel heard and included.
Engagement Event in Evesham
We organised an event at the Headway office in Evesham, alongside John, the Neighbourhood Officer. Our aim was to connect with customers in this area, making sure we are visible and accessible to all. During the event, customers had the chance to meet us and discuss their needs. We were also joined by teams from Advice Services, Housing, Supported Housing, and Domestic Abuse, who were there to offer additional support. Despite some bad weather, the event was a success, and we received valuable feedback from customers. We were able to answer questions, listen to concerns, and offer help where needed. Many customers appreciated the opportunity to speak to us directly. It was a great chance to show our commitment to supporting the community. We look forward to returning to Evesham in the future to continue building trust and providing support.
Tiny Forests Initiative: Bell Green Event
In addition to these events, we are also excited about our involvement in the Tiny Forests initiative. This project is a partnership between Citizen Housing, Earthwatch Europe, and Coventry City Council. The aim is to plant Tiny Forests in six locations across Coventry, helping to create a greener and cleaner environment.
On 4th February 2025, we hosted a successful event at Bell Green at LongField House. The community came together, and there was great excitement about the project. We're proud to be part of this initiative and are looking forward to planting trees at all six sites. This is just one of the many ways we are working to improve the local environment and engage with our communities.
We remain committed to connecting with our customers and making a positive impact on the local area.
