As we reassess our approach to dealing with pests at Citizen, we would very much appreciate your opinion.
Citizen will always attend to pests within communal areas of blocks and on external areas of land that we own or manage. However, if a customer has pests inside their home, our response could be different.
We have put together a draft section for the Estates Management Policy (see below) and would be grateful if you could complete brief the survey below.
Pests
'Infestations occurring within a customer’s property are usually the responsibility of the customer to remove unless the vermin find access to the customer’s home through defects. Customers are responsible for dealing with infestations caused by conditions in their home or gardens, relating to rubbish or uncleanliness. Infestations will need to be treated either by the local authority or by a professional pest control company. The customer will have to pay for this service. Citizen may recharge customers for treatments relating to urgent health and safety requests.
Citizen are committed to assisting customers with pest infestation issues by providing information and guidance. In addition all reports of pest infestation will be carefully assessed and, where appropriate, onsite inspections will take place. Inspections within a customer’s home may be subject to recharges where the cause of the issue is not identified as resting with Citizen.
Citizen is responsible for an infestation in communal areas and will ensure that any repairs are identified and completed to prevent pests from entering the property.'
If you complete the survey you can choose to be entered into our prize draw, you will be asked to enter your contact details in the survey.
You could win: 1st Prize = £20, 2nd Prize = £10, or 3rd Prize = £10.
Thank you & Good Luck!
