π€ BDHT Community Day β Sidemoor, Bromsgrove
The Engagement Team recently attended the BDHT Community Day held in Sidemoor, Bromsgrove. Although Citizen has a small number of properties in the area, it was a great opportunity to raise our profile locally and connect with our customers.
This fantastic free event gave us the chance to speak with several customers who shared positive experiences with Citizen and expressed their satisfaction with the service theyβve received.
We also had a lovely moment with a young customer, who was interested in joining our Youth Engagement programme after learning more about it during the day.
The weather held upβalthough a little cloudy, the atmosphere was bright and cheerful. Everyone who attended seemed to have a great time, and it was brilliant to see the community come together.
A big thank you to BDHT for inviting Citizen to be part of such a well-organised and welcoming event!

Youth Day at Warndon Community Hub β A Great Day for Everyone
On a sunny Wednesday, our Engagement Team joined Platform Housing at the Warndon Community Hub in Worcester for a fun and exciting Youth Day.
We met lots of our customers and their families. Everyone was friendly, and it was a great chance to talk, share ideas, and work together to make the community better. We also spoke with Worcester MP Tom Collins and Councillor Lynn Denham, who came along to support the event.
Throughout the day, we met many customers who were eager to work together to improve their community. Their ideas and enthusiasm showed how important it is to stay connected and support one another. It was clear that events like this help build stronger relationships and encourage people to get involved locally.
Fun for Young People
There was loads for young people to do! They got to meet different groups and learn about things they can do now and in the future. Some of the groups included:

- π Fire Brigade
- π Police Services

Supporting Customers at Our Lady of the Assumption Foodbank
On 3rd June, the Engagement Team visited the Our Lady of the Assumption Foodbank. This is an important place in the community, especially as many people are finding it hard to manage with the rising cost of living. While we were there, I had the pleasure of meeting one of our customers. She had a number of problems and didnβt know where to start or who to speak to. She didnβt feel confident calling in, and she found using online services difficult.
Speaking face to face gave her the chance to share her worries. It also helped her feel more connected to Citizen, as she could see the person behind the service. Building these relationships is so important, and it helps us support our customers in the best way possible.

Meeting Customers at the Canley Social Supermarket
On 23rd June, the Engagement Team visited the Canley Social Supermarket. This is a very popular place in the community and a great chance for us to meet our Citizen customers face to face.
Many customers came to speak with us. We were there to listen, offer support, and give advice. We also talked about engagement and how customers can get involved.
Lots of people donβt know what engagement means or how they can take part. Thatβs why events like this are so important. Speaking to people in person gives us the chance to explain what we do and answer any questions. It helps our customers understand how they can have their say and make a difference.

π£ This Monthβs Update from the Engagement Team
This month, we only have a few face-to-face events. Thatβs because weβre working hard behind the scenes on other important things β like our focus groups! π§
Focus groups help us learn more about what matters to you, and theyβre a big part of how we stay connected with the community.

Why Our Face-to-Face Pop-Ups Matterπ‘
Since November, our Engagement Team has taken part in over 33 pop-ups in local communities. But what do we mean by a "pop-up"?
A pop-up is when we visit a place where something is already happening in your area — like a foodbank, social supermarket, or local group. It’s a chance for us to speak to customers face-to-face, listen to what matters to you, and share useful information.
The feedback we’ve had has been fantastic!
At these pop-ups, we’ve spoken with over 126 customers. We've had great conversations about our services, and many people have signed up to our Citizen Together Hub.
We're committed to being out in the community, making it easier for you to speak to us in person. It’s another way for you to ask questions, raise concerns, and get support.
At one of our recent pop-ups, we even helped a customer join our focus groups. They now take part regularly and are helping to shape the services we offer.
These pop-ups help us reach people we might not connect with otherwise — and they give you a chance to get involved and have your say.
π Would you like to suggest a place where we should pop up next?
We’d love to hear from you! Please fill out this quick survey and let us know where you’d like to see our Engagement Team: π Community Events- Have your say!π
We’re really proud of what’s been achieved so far, and we’re looking forward to meeting even more of you out in the community soon!
